The medallion hunt runs from Wednesday July 5-Sat the 8th. per year. The daily medallion clue will be posted at 7:30 am at Benson’s & Pete’s garage and announced on Marshall & Slayton/Pipestone radio stations. A new clue will be posted until the medallion is found. You must return the medallion to claim the prize. In honor of Balaton’s 125th anniversary the clues have historic references.

“Roots of OAK” is a local acoustic band that plays a variety of music to include country, blue grass and folk and oldies. They add their acoustic flavor with guitar, dulcimer, banjos and harmonica.
Bring your own lawn chair. No parking at lake except for handicapped parking. Shuttle service will be provided from parking lots at East Bay Nine.
Mobile Heart Beats will play music during the fireworks display.

Registration at 7:30-8:30am run to follow. This is a 1 mile course with inflatables. You can go through the course as many as 3 times.

Coins will be hidden in a pile of corn for kids 10 & under to find. Parent use your discretion if your child is old enough to do this event.
In an effort to reduce congestion during parade line up, access to Maple Street on 1st ave and 3rd street(not Main street) off Washington Street will be restricted. Please access Maple Street from 2nd and 3rd avenues and their will be parade staff to direct you. All floats will be directed to the old football field.
The theme for the floats is “Balaton 125 years!.Floats will be judged on originality and creativity. Prizes given for first three places. Prizes donated by Balaton Chamber.
